Welcome to the new owenthe.dev!

The brand new owenthe.dev is here, running on Squarespace. Here’s what’s new.

Back in 2019, I made a maker portfolio when applying for colleges on Squarespace. I put up visual representations of my projects, with descriptions in the images for more detail. Although how much this helped is debatable, I really enjoyed this new portfolio. Since then, I kept updating it under portfolio.owenthe.dev.

At the same time, my personal website running on WordPress was getting more and more outdated. I eventually made the decision to move onto Squarespace, leaving the old WordPress install up for backwards compatibility.

Here’s how things will work around here:

• All the major projects & experiments have entries on the portfolio.

• There’s no long articles about each project, instead told through images and descriptions under those images.

• If you try to access anything on from the old WordPress website, you’ll automatically be redirected to wp.owenthe.dev.

• I’ll be migrating some top-level pages from WordPress in the coming days. (Archive, Pi-hole block lists, etc)

• There’s a persistent link under More to return to the old website.
